A microlot refers to a small, carefully selected batch of coffee beans separated from the main harvest for it’s high quality and exceptional flavour. This particular lot is sourced from the Rugali Washing Station in the Nyamasheke district. Founded in 2016 it is now one of the largest stations in the region, working with 1150 smallholder farmers in the local area. This microlot is naturally processed, with cherries dried intact before the beans are removed. The result is a sweet, silky coffee with vibrant fruit character and the clarity Rwanda is known for.
In the cup expect notes of pineapple, green apple, apricot and a hint of florals.
